Pete Sherrard

Biography

After initially studying fine art, Pete spent twenty years working as a photographer before travelling around the world and working with primates in various animal sanctuaries. Then, in 2007, he decided that he wanted to make a return to his artistic roots, so completed an arts diploma, graduating 2009 as a sculptor.
Working in clay and plasticine then casting in resins mixed with various media from wood ash to rice, Sherrard produces figurative pieces that explore and question the basic, raw animal nature of people.
